Big Bone Take Out: Soul Food Elevated in Columbia, SC

This food touched my SOUL you hear me. I was visiting from NY and found this spot on tiktok and I have No Regrets. Im glad that my family from South Carolina. Please if your ever in Columbia, SC RUN here ASAP

Let me start off by saying the food is TOP TIER!! It's absolutely delicious. I try to stop here every time I'm in town and I have NEVER had a bad meal. The portion sizes are very generous and the prices are very reasonable. The mac n cheese deserves an AWARD!! Hands down some of the best mac I've ever eaten. The food is plated to order so there is a bit of a wait. My only suggestion to the owners would be invest in a restaurant paging system to help it not be so chaotic. I completely understand the limitations due to building size however, customers should be advised to order and wait in their vehicles until they are alerted that their food is ready. It will not only save space, and keep the line moving but save people from gathering outside in the elements.

Everything was good but the rice and gravy. The rice and gravy taste a few days old. The Mac and cheese was good, collard greens amazing, hot and honey chicken wings was decent, it could’ve had a little more hot sauce but over all it was good.

03/27/25 Miss. Big Bone was in Birthday mode, yet still in the kitchen putting her magic touch on everything. The wait was 15 minutes, but well worth the result. Hot, delicious and filling cuisine The older I get, the harder it is to find those that are willing to put the time and effort into a gut-busting meal. Those old enough to understand will know why I had to take a nap afterwards Great food, friendly staff and an environment that makes it seem like you stopped by an Auntie's for a plate

Go!!! I ordered turkey wings, collards, cornbread and yams online. (Faster than going inside to order) The food was cooked to perfection, nice portions, and was hot! The reason I gave it a 3 for atmosphere was because it’s in the hood and it’s take out only. We all know the best food is in the hood This place is no exception. The young gentleman behind the counter was very polite. I will be back!

Big Bone restaurant!! My sisters and brother N law have been talking about this place and I decided to try it today and pick up a few plates for my family. Absolutely delicious!! Very well prepared and more than enough food that you may ( if you can stop eating it) to have leftovers!! I’m real funny about my greens and cabbage but it was amazing!! The owner was very nice and greeted me. It’s in the cut, a hidden gem and you may miss it if you’re not looking! It’s still easy to find when you are. Reasonable prices and seasoned well!! It’s my new favorite place!! Check it out , I don’t think you’ll regret it!

I don't even like fried chicken like that, but I ate the whole thing. I can only enjoy smaller sized wings plus the crispiness I requested. The only mac & cheese that's come close to the texture I like it. I wish they offer bigger sizes lol.

Today was amazing! Someone from my church recommended Big Bone's. IT WAS DELICIOUS! I ordered three plates, one for Mom, one for a friend. They had turkey and honey wings, lima beans, black eyed peace and yellow rice. I had honey wings, collards, mac, and yams. HANDS DOWN, BEST SOUL FOOD SINCE MOVING TO SC. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! GOD BLESS THE COOKS!
